Head Start provides children with activities and experiences to foster their development, to help them grow socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically.
We are a federally funded comprehensive early child development program for children between the ages of 3 and 5—meeting the individual emotional, social, health, intellectual, nutrition and psychological needs of each child enrolled.
Head Start is a federally funded comprehensive early child development program for children between the ages of 3 and 5. The Head Start program provides high quality services for eligible children and their families including children with special needs and disabilities. Children and their families receive developmental services to meet the needs of thechild through the public school systems and
professional consultants. Children who attend Head Start participate in a variety of educational activities along with receiving medical and dental care and nutritious meals and snacks. The CDI Head Start Program offers center-based half-day or full day programs at select sites. All centers operate from September through May with hours that vary.

which help them become self-confident. The children also improve their listening and speaking skills. Head Start helps transition children from home to Head Start and from Head Start to kindergarten.

The CDI Head Start Program is accepting applications for children between the ages of 3 and 5. Eligibility for the Head Start Program is based on the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Please contact the center for which you are applying or the central office to schedule an appointment for an interview.
