How to Apply

The STOP Organization Head Start Program is now accepting applications for children between the ages of 3 and 5.

Eligibility for the Head Start Program is based on the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Following the completion and submission of the Online Application, please forward the following documents to: Head Start Recruitment, 2551 Almeda Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23513:

  1. Proof of 2007 income (W2, SSI, TANF or Child Support)

  2. Copy of child’s birth certificate

  3. Copy of child’s immunization (shot) record

  4. Copy of a recent physical for child

  5. Name, address and telephone number of child’s physician and dentist

  6. Proof of health insurance/medical information (if applicable)

  7. Documentation of health, nutrition, or special needs (IEP/IFSP) if applicable

  8. Name, address and telephone number of 2 persons for emergency purposes

Failure to provide the above documentation will prevent processing of your application.
